Havering Music School have an extensive range of instruments to hire to see whether playing is for pupils without the cost of buying an instrument up front.

This is only available to HMS pupils and charged at the annual rate of £47.80 (price correct at April 2025). Electrical instruments, pianos and percussion instruments are not available for hire.

If you are an HMS student and would like to hire an instrument, simply email musicschool@havering.gov.uk and we will send you a link to our online form.

Note: once ordered, instruments need to be collected from the music school.

Parents and carers are responsible for the safekeeping of instruments and are advised to insure them against loss or damage.
